The Abuse Network is a non-profit organization founded in the summer of 1984 by volunteers.  It has grown tremendously since its inception.  The Abuse Network is an independent organization administered by a nine to eleven member Board of Directors.

The Abuse Network is a member of, and receives grant funding through, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV ) and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR).  The agency also receives funding from the Pennsylvania Commission and Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), and the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata.  Some other funding sources come from federal, state, and/or local grants; contributions; and fund-raising activities.

The Abuse Network is comprised of offices in both Mifflin and Juniata Counties.  There are a number of services available.
