The History of the Abuse Network

The Abuse Network is a non-profit organization founded in the summer of 1984 by volunteers and has grown tremendously since its inception. The Abuse Network is an independent organization administered by a thirteen member Board of Directors.

The Abuse Network is a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition against Domestic Violence (PCADV), the Pennsylvania Coalition against Rape (PCAR), Pennsylvania Commission and Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), and The United Way of Mifflin and Juniata Counties. Some other funding sources come from local contributions; fund raising activities; and federal, state, and local governments.

The Abuse Network is comprised of offices in both Mifflin and Juniata Counties. There are a number of services available. All services are Free and Confidential!
