Prevention Education
This program is an integral tool in
educating professional workers, children, teens, church groups, and
a variety of other human service and civic organizations on the
effects of domestic violence and sexual assault. It is
imperative that we encourage the community to become more
knowledgeable about these growing epidemics.
Outreach Services
We have incorporated a program that
is beneficial to many of the outlying, rural areas in Mifflin and
Juniata Counties. Our Outreach Coordinator travels to various
sites in the communities to provide our services to those who may
not be able to reach our offices through any other means because of
their particular situation.
Volunteer Opportunities
There's no doubt about it, volunteers
are the backbone of our organization. Without their hard work
and dedication to our cause, we would not be where we are
today. There are a number of opportunities available for
persons interested in becoming a volunteer for our organization.
Hotline volunteers are required to complete a 65-hour training
course. The course is usually held once in the spring and once
in the fall for two evenings a week for approximately eight weeks.
CAP volunteers are required to complete a 12-hour training in order
to volunteer to present the CAP program in the schools.
To be considered as a volunteer, please go to the "Volunteer
Application" page, print it out, complete, and mail or drop it
off at one of our office locations.
